Oh, if they were not electric , I would have thought the earth might be for them.

Did you bell it out to see if it was actually to an earth?

no by that time i was wishing that i had eaten more carrots, but i will have ago when i get a min, just by the type of plug i guess it goes onto somthing rather than attaching to another wire

rightm, just tried the disco this morning and the fobs are not working again, i tried the "fob dance" that didnt help either, so i opened the dooor using the key, alarm de-activated and she started fine, both fobs worked straight after.
so i guess somthing is re-setting its self over a period of time, but what could that be

so, yesturday after i done the above. she was faultless all day (well as a landrover can be), so this morning i go outside and the fobs dont work.
So i unlock the drivers door with the key (didnt actually open the door) press the fob button and it worked on both fobs, so any ideas guys on whats goiong on?

cheers

Hi Tillytomp,

May sound silly, but can you try parking somewhere else .

I have heard, but never experienced people having trouble with exterior RF frequencies screwing with the fobs.

Another thing is , are you doing lots of small journeys as it would appear the TD5 is susceptible to low battery voltage.

It might be worth getting to the RF receiver again and making sure the earth is good, I know you were in there earlier this week.

Cheers

Hi neilly,
I have read the same as you, so last night I turned off, jump packs, battery charger ect in my garage, I also moved one of the keys and removed the battery, but still the same, the only other place I could park isn't that far away but might give it ago, there seems to be a certain time frame on this, once I unlock it in the morning it will work all day, but over night something seems to go wrong, I'm gonna go outside in a bit too start her up, so I can see if u can narrow down the time span, and then see what happens in the morning
Thanks Neil

ok, so last night i went out about 11pm, opened the car with the fob, and started it, all was good, no issues.
This morning at about 7.30am it opened fine with the fobs and started. so not sure now

So I spoke with the 90yr old next door neighbour, to see if she had, had her panic/help alarm fitted (she had already told me about getting one) but no. So I told her my issues and the whilst she was getting confused, and almost in denial, I belive her son in law had changed something on her door bell due to it causing interference to a guy down the road, surely this cant be right?? And causing my problems.

It is something that has been mentioned before.

Would be interesting if you could prove it.

Cheers
Its a strange one, as it seems something is resetting my car at night, I am going out at various times at night and the morning to try and narrow down the time frame, grrrrr

right here we go................
Wednesday night i go outside at 9.45pm and unlock and lock the disco, alls good, at 6.45am Thrusday the next morning it unlocks and locks fine (so 9hrs later), its not used at all till 4pm that day and works straight away (another 9hrs later) andcontinues to work fine for the rest of the day.
SWMBO comes home about 6.30pm and locks the car, i dont go outside at all, and at 6.45 this morning it didnt open,
I hope this makes sence
anyone got any bright ideas????
