Key Fob repair

Hi does anyone know if it is possible to get the key fob apart my spare does not work and I get the impression its a connection on the board as just occasionly I have had the light flash whilst fiddling with it I know it isnt the batteries or the battery holder as I have changed both can it be done or is it a new fob job

if you going to take your fob apart make sure you have your eka code. cos it will lock you out

Have you taken the button pad off?? Have a look to see if the buttons on the pad are actually making the switches on the fob..is the small plastic bit that makes the switch missing?? Try a cocktail stick to check.

Where can you find the EKA code??

Go to a main dealer armed with your vehicle registration document and other I.D. and they will get it for you. Also ask them for the radio code and lockset code at the same time.

Hi thanks for your replys I have the 4 digit unlock code which I assume is the EKA code and I have taken the button cover off and operated the buttons manually but to no avail can you take them apart as I dont have anything to lose by looking as it wont work anyway

It went together in two halves so will come apart with some gentle prising.
Worst case scenario is £120 for a new key
