Its the little mettle strip on the side of the cover, I kinda fixed it so it works, went to order another, price is stupid (as you expect) so orders a whole new fob (with the back on) from Ali Express for £3!!!! the thing is I have one some place I ordered from them before... but can I find it.....

Did @wammers not say to check that? He normally mentions the little strip. And a bit of tape. I assume he is talking about fobs.

Glad to hear you sorted it. I wish mine was such an easy fix. I'm still working old school, as I refuse to pay approx £400 for a key , for a 16yr old vehicle.

Yea I didn't think of that, it would be such a loss for them, I mean they wouldn't rip us off would they? lol

No never. Just got my renewal from AA, breakdown and relay. £171.00, £154.00 last year, when i started with them in 2010 £54.00 a year. They can go and swivel.

Get your keys insured and then "lose it"
They're covered by the AA but the inconvenience of not being able to use the vehicle until new ones ordered by stealer, makes it not worth it.

I do the dance every year with the AA, and every year, by the end of the dance, they reduce it by £80 -£100.
