Hi

I've got an oil leak from cam seal and oil is coming through the drain hole.ive got my mot next week and I don't want to fail due to this leak and was thinking about plugging the drain hole with a bolt just for the mot.
I know the seal needs to be sorted but I haven't got time to do this before the mot.

Question is what size if bolt is it ? It's a 200tdi engine

Don't know the thread size (its a tapered thread from memory), if you have the original toolkit then there should be two wading plugs in there if you are lucky which is what they were designed for

Some contradictory info here but may give you something to aim for

1/4 bsp same as just about every air tool fitting on the planet or your local plumbers merchant will have summat on the shelf.
