Just priced up a brand new fully built up 'K' series head at 380 pounds, is this a fair price do you think/?

Try Redmans Engines, Lancs. They supplied me with a 'brand new' fully recon head, built and ready to fit for £300.00. Excellent service, really helpful guy called Dave. They did a deal including complete gasket set (new type), water pump, timing belt and tensioner kit, and head, of course! for £449.00. Delivery included. Perfect.
Hope this helps, Russ

Sounds OK , I'll tell me friend....Ta

thats the going rate, cheapest new head (without valves, springs tappets) is £295.

A single valve from LR is £33 plus VAT  , times 16.

I have the head off at the mo, managed to source recon valves at £6 each

My fully built new head price comes in cheaper than yours then, and it was posted at that.:)

Think I'll tell me mate to grab it quick.:D

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
My price is brand new anyway but.....
Given the choice I would have a head that has been reconditioned with new parts because it will have been 'seasoned' by running up to temp and cold again hundreds of times showing it to be a 'good' one.

Now there's an argument for you :D :D :D
