Well fobbed lost the plate then the insurance should have to pay out for that aswell,

Something that's as diffrent as this was I would imagine it's been stripped for parts by now as it stands out and would be hard loose it in the landrover world.

I've seen these budget trackers but was wondering if we could maybe get a group buy, of word gets round that these are been fit to Lz members cars they might think twice as there's a greater chance of bin caught.

LR international have a Skytag 50% code in it currently

Having had a vehicle stolen myself I can fully understand how you feel right now. I recovered my vehicle within one hour of reporting the burglary but it wasn’t insured and unfortunately the damaged done, because the thief couldn’t drive, whilst taking the vehicle meant I had to scrape it. I have two pieces of advice which I hope will be helpful to yourself and others if you do discover the thieves in the vehicle be careful these people they will attack you to get away. Secondly head for the nearest area with a reputation for criminals as they will often park a vehicle. I found mine parked outside the home of a local drug dealer.

Gutt wrenching stuff Mate

Fingers crossed they get it Back in one piece
as for trackers its something i am giving a lot of thought

My mate has Skytag fitted to his motor and is well chuffed with it. At least if it gets taken, he has the peace of mind knowing it will be pinpointed to within a few metres on a live feed once they are notified of its theft. He had a notification of its location on a regular check report and it put it in the exact parking bay and time in Ripon where he had been parked earlier in the day.

I would not have had the slightest interest in the dealer and his friends if they had not started parking outside my house to watch me and then tried to blag their way into my home that’s when I took a real interest in who they were and what they were about. Seeing all the chat about vehicle trackers can I advise people please don’t place all your trust in them I would try and use additional less documented ways of protecting your pride and joy.

What I am trying to say is think outside the box if its common practice to place an alarm in one position in a vehicle place it some where else and keep it to yourself. Example after my daughters house was broken into I discovered that alarm bell box was located in the wrong position I therefore moved that one and added a second one and took the dummy box and wired a tamper circuit and LED into it which made it difficult to locate the real bell boxes and disable them without triggering the alarm all three bell boxes appeared identical.

Any news on this?

did anything get found or any feed back from the police?

Having been laning with you I'm gutted for you. :(

Never got it back but have just been paid out, a word of warning make sure your insurance policy includes all your mods otherwise they dont pay out for them.

Gutted for you pal, mine has everything declared but they won't agree a value, but they said they replace or pay for mods like for like apparently,

Out of interest what happens to you reg number now? Was thinking of one on mine but not sure

I'm going back some years now but I had a car stolen on a cherished plate and had to wait a year before I could apply for the rights to display again. It was a 21st birthday present and I only had the plate on it for 3 days before the car was pinched. Buggers!

Yes you have to have an MOT when it was stolen and then you have to wait 12months before asking for it back...god knows why?
