Right, no sniggering at the back! Some of you may know from my previous posts about my gearbox trouble in auto mode. Basically it juddered and freaked and well, to be honest, wasn't a pleasant experience hence why it spent most of it's life in the smooth as silk manual mode.

After a bit of Googling, I came across a product called Dr Tranny (Oi, you at the back, I've told you about sniggering) which I think came up on a very old post on here. It can't be that good surely for the money????? Ah well, what have I to lose?

So £12 invested and it arrived in a few days, obviously had to wait for a good British summer day to put it in though. Off side up on ramps, fill plug removed and squirty squirty all in. Off the ramps, through all the gears while still and cross the old fingers.

Wow, just wow. Whilst not 100% perfect, I'd certainly say 95% there hand on heart. It may not work for everyone depending on your problem but for twelve quid, it's worth a gamble.

Oh one last bit of advice, warn your other halves about your internet history as googling for this does throw up some, ahem, dubious websites :)

Know change your fluid and filter 2 0r 3 times and it should be alot better. What you had was sh it fluid and old filter gumming things up, Remove the trans pan and wash it up, you will be surprised how much crud is in there

That stuff tends to change the viscosity of the oil. So not a permanent fix, more of a dislodger of crap.

Additives should never be added to the L322 ZF or GM boxes...it modifies the friction properties of the fluid which can lead to premature failure of the torque converter friction material even faster that it wears itself out normally.

Glad it 'cured' the judder, but it could cause further damage in the long run sorry to say.

I hope in your case it works, but the L322's ZF box is very intolerant of anything other than the legit LT fluid!

It is due to the way the torque converter is designed to work with its constant slip mode (cos they couldn't be arsed to fit a torsional damper!)
