Just bought a '53 Freelander TD4 Sport 3DR. So far, so good. Has been very well looked after and regularly serviced, with 36K on the clock.However, there is a kind of muffled whine at around 70mph that appears to be coming from the transmission, more from the front than the rear. It disappears around 80mph and below 60mph and doesn't happen around town, will also freewheel when in neutral, no vibration or knocking accompanies the whine. Any ideas? Sorry this is my first posting, but I'm losing sleep! Cheers.
