I finally have managed to find what i was after!
Yesterday i picked up my 1965 series 2a V8.
Its in pretty good nick but on the way home (4.5 hours) i noticed a few things i think i better sort out sooner rather than later, i wonder if anyone can help me sort out whats wrong?
1) Temp gauge is in the red all the time. And no, the engine wasnt overheating (well within normal limits). I take it this is a sender issue?
2) speedo accuracy. I estimate its at least 10mph down on actual speed (ie.reads 50 when doing 60). I assume its a calibration issue but if the G/box is std (i dont know yet) surely this should still read correctly?
3) Fuel gauge....It wafts casually between full and zero . New gauge?
Apart from these little things that could stop the fun (overheating, run out of fuel and gaining points!) i love it!
