Being a longtime green oval owner I thought i would treat us to a more civilised motor. Bought a 1997 2.5DSE, and very good it is too.
Just need advice on a couple of things
1, Says 'fuse 2 failed' with an acompanying anoying beep. Check fuse 2 and every other fuse too and cant find a blown one.Any ideas please?

2, had a flat battery with the previous owner which has put on the SRS light and airbag fault on the display.

My brother has a britpart diagnostic thingy which doesnt seem to be able to get rid of the faults. Would appreciate any ideas

Thanks in anticipation
Phil

cant help much but id say the word in bold certainly isn't gunna help !

There are two SRS bulbs if one fails the other one comes on. Check the bulbs. Have you looked at side of drivers seat for fuse 2?

Thanks Wammers,

I have checked every fuse under the drivers seat and they are all good, I guess it must be a wire connector somewhere, just hoped someone might have had it before.
i will check the SRS bulb as only 1 lit

SRS fault can come on due to a flat battery, will need diagnostics to re-set.
Check for damp carpets in the drivers footwell, your fuse problem may be due to corrosion. Also worth checking the underbonnet fuse box for signs or smells or burning.
Specialist diagnostics only for the P38, Nanocom/Faultmate are best IMO, others are Hawkeye & Lynx. I can supply EAS diagnostics for not a lot.

You never forget your first P38, the faith that every job will be simple and then she rips your head off and throws it in a dumpster!

Having had many landrovers over the last 40 odd years, it will not beat me. Its just that these new fangled things are all electrical. My first series 1 had lights and a coil and that was about all that sparked.
