Hi peeps I'm wondering if anyone has had similar problem, I ought a lovely 1996 2.5 dse with a dodgy key fob the lock button worked but not unlock do I just used eka code, 2 days after I bought it key fob stopped (switch broke off board for lock) I tried eka but no joy just peeped everytime it was turned to lock and engine key code lockout on dash and could not get alarm off, so I removed becm, ecu and sent them away with key to be sorted and when they were sent back problems.
The keyfob is working and key works in door but that's it, all connections to becm in correct no loose or pushed out pins, power and earth cables correct, no blown fuses, nor under bonnet but all that happens is if I switch to position 2 I get fan blower but no display on climate screen, radio works, I get all lights on eassuspension setting and inhibitor switch, front wipers work, headlights but no rear wiper, no alarm, fuel cap release doesn't work nothing on dash except srs, abs pump buzzes under bonnet and if I try to start car it goes dead, everything and if I release key back to as above.
I've recharged battery but it was reading 13.1v and been suggested there is a problem still with becm so I've sent it away again with key and ecu but I also noticed it wasn't my becm that was sent back but was my ecu but was told they were coded together and both working on test car so I'm wondering if anyone has had similar
Also I've checked main power to engine fuse box and it's OK and no funny smells or obvious signs of corrosion
