Just bought my first Land Rover (P38 RR) yesterday

Despite registering on the forum for advice some 4 years ago, until yesterday I haven't actually owned a Land Rover.. always been tempted though.

So I've finally succumbed to the bee in my bonnet and bought a 1995 Range Rover HSE 4.6 - needless to say it has one or two issues which I need to overcome, but I guess I should cover that in another thread.

So, hello to one and all - it's great to finally be a fully-fledged member of the green oval brigade!

not gonna lie, slightly jealous. P38 4.6 HSE is one of my favourite landys. I have a 300tdi disco - it's amazing but doesn't have same grunt as a v8

Hmm... I tried posting in the Range Rover forum this morning about the one or two issues I need a little advice on, but it said something about needing approval. Any idea how often the mods get around to such things?

On a more positive note, I just took her for a spin after investigating an alternator issue and there's certainly some life in the old beast - used kick-down for the first time and she took off like a rocket, making all the right noises to bring a smile to my face!
