I buggered my shoulder and have been off the case for a while. Going back in this weekend. How the hell do I get the sills off of the bulkhead assembly? Do I need to undo the big bulkhead retaining bolts?

Thanks Jim, it's the inner beam I need to undo. You mean the big bolt directly under the bulkhead? I thought that held the bulkhead itself on.

no if you look inside the thing the big bolt goes through there should be 2 1/2" bolths through the back skin of the door pillar footing plate into the angle plate on the back of the sill piece unless like mine in the past its been welded on :cool:

I'm not going to list all my paltry excuses - but I think it's fair to say I've been a bit slack on this project.

Anyway, I got the tub off today. Attacked the chassis with an air chisel:

Not bad for less than 17 quid. Cleaning it up like a good'un.

I had grandiose plans to construct my own wiring loom, but I'm beginning to look at pre-assembled ones longingly. Mine is ex-military with convoy lighting which complicates things a bit when it comes to the DIY approach.

BTW, sorry my hosting has gone up the creek - will try to get the pictures on this thread back into place
