Id like to think so at that price mate, Ive not seen any bumpers in that colour for that money that didnt need repairing or spraying in some way but will keep my eyes open, thin ill probably stump up the cash for a supercharged 06 grille anyway, just to update it a bit. Anyone got any ideas on the seat? Rave says theres a relay in there somewhere but not where I can see! at least not where it says it is. Like I say there is plent of power to the BCM module under there and everything else controlled by that ECU is working fine including the other seat. Thing is I cant even move the seat back to make it easier to look at.

Found a cable under there that has been chopped and reconnected with a ****ty bullet connector though, so thats not looking too good.

regarding the grille, you will have to get one of those conversion grilles from powerfull uk as you have the older shape front a normal 06 grille wont fit.

im in the same boat, want the grille but the conversion one looks poo in my opinion, so im going to do the full 2006 facelift conversion.

got all my parts from a 2007 vogue, so soon to fit these. ill make a post once im done :D

yeah I meant the conversion mate, just gonna have to wait thats what I meant by will stump up the cash, eventually!!
Really need to get my head round this seat problem, im 6'3" and the wife cant even drop me at the pub as I cant fit in the passenger seat! thats a problem need to fix ASAP

I think you have a prefaclift model

And someone has just changed the speaker grilles and updated the sat nav to a touch screen type

As the facelift has a different dash where the handbrake is etc..

Definately pre facelift model, I used to work on them in production.
Centre console gives it away immediately. Front bonnet slam, headlamps, wings are different on later model.
In my opinion it was a better car than the facelift

Aye thats what im currently having to do and its just not on!!
Cheers Planny for that info, what is it exactly thats different on the dash console? To be honest im not that bothered either way.

Hey fellas what do you think of the Hawkeye? Just bear in mind that Im not looking to fiddle around with all the re-programming of soft lights and folding mirrors etc etc I just want to diagnose the BCM(Seat) problem and any other important engine/electrical glitches that may arise. Would this do the job? I have just been quoted off a mate in clitheroe £325 for the hawkeye and the Required Dongle for the L322 that is needed. He has them in stock and I can collect today if I wish. Would this suit my needs? Its just having the car and not knowing where to start is killing me, at least once diagnosed I can just get on with it.
Cheers
Paul

Thanks mate read all that already, cant really tell wether it will help me with the Seat module, what im reading is that it can read and clear DTC on the "Body Electrics" does that cover the BCM?

Thanks saint, so would you say that the allcoms is better/on par/ or not as good as the hawk eye? Just that they are similar money that's all.
Cheers

All coms Is better due to the EAS calibration feature but it doesn't have live data like the hawkeye does

Only good thing that hawkeye is portable unlike all coms that require a laptop

is this the RSW one that I keep hearing about?(All Comms) From what I can tell this does all the DTC Read/Clear and a little bit of programming which is getting better all the time apparently? Or am I on the wrong thing?

Yep it is from mr Wilson of RSW

You can change a few settings yes, like volume of reversing sensors, stop the steering from retracting etc...

Not a lot of options yet

Not had any updates from rsw for a while I think

Ok we'll having had a good read now, it looks like the allcoms is actually cheaper anyway! Plus software is free and there is potential for a lot more scope with this system, is it just rsw solutions that supplies these or is there a uk importer? If not what does it cost to get one into the country? I.e will I be hot with import duty and all that bollocks and VAT on top?
Thanks for all your help

I was charged about £16 to import....

As Hippo says the Bearmach is portable whereas the All Comms needs a laptop....

I have a small 10" notebook from ages ago running WinXP that I keep in a small camera flight case in the boot with the Software on and the lead inside...totally portable - I also have a copy of RAVE on there too so I have all the information to hand at all times!!

As a comparison - gooooooogle GAP Diagnostics IIDTool - ultra portable but VIN locked to your car and quite powerful too.
