theres nothing special about an ird jus a diff and a few bearings and gears
EP80 seems to be a thicker oilI was always led to believe it was a total no-no.
I'm no oil eggspurt tho. I refilled mine on Sat with 75W90 after I'd had to take my IRD casing apart. And put it back together. Obviously![]()
thats only because of stress of the way system works ,not oil ,lr like many upspec oil so they can leave it in there longer ,its often better to change it regular and use std oilThat goes BANG easily if you don't look after it

yes weve all had to learn ,some recently, some over years in the jobi once caught a mechanic putting 20/50 into a car I had when it should have been 5/20 get proper advise as some on here are trying to give you and do make sure you can take the filler stud out before droping the oil as once I had to weld a half inch bar onto mine as it rounded of I should have used a flat sided socket but do we ever learn
