Ever have those days where you start off with all good intentions and the list of "things that need fixing" seem to get out of control...

Clutch stuck to flywheel, no probs I think, if I can sort the breaks out I can probably free it up by accelerating and breaking with the clutch depressed on Axle stands etc...

The rear brake cylinders are shot and one of the brake lines snapped while undoing the coupling.
OK, lets replace the brake line - T joint is ceased solid...
Ordered a new one, but maybe I should replace the springs as one of the clamps has snapped anyway and the leaves are doing their own thing.
The top spring hanger bolts ceased solid, cut off the bolt and add some more bits to the order.
Now I can see the chassis bushes are shot and the bolt had worn through the inner and was resting on the outer edge. That cant have been good, lets have a look athe prop shaft, I'm sure its not meant to waggle like that when I grab it :boom:

Think I may just try and find a replacement chassis and see if I find ANY bits that are serviceable on my truck !!!

Its a bloody good job that series bits seem to be quite cheap as I seem to need an awful lot of little blighters !!!!

OK,

rant over for now...

A few months ago I thought I'd see why the tail light wasn't working.

This is all that's left now....

You know when you should really think carefully when you notice that the ones people are breaking for spares seem to look in better condition that the one you are "fixing"...

It end up like Triggers Broom; 20 years oldl, just had 17 new heads and 14 handles !

And then you see poncy brand.new defender's in the supermarket car park n you get even more frustrated knowing of course that your landy is better!

A big box of bits arrived today from Paddock's, I am starting to accept that some of the bolts need a little more force to undo than I am used to
Dropped the rear axle off to replace the shocks, springs, chassis bushes & prop UJ's. flipped the axle over to attack the U bolts with an impact gun - not a chance... so I cut through the U bolts with a hacksaw and the bolt end fired off and bounced off the roof !
memo to self, cover things under stress with something heavy !
