Probably a poor aftermarket holder but correct 10v ( I think but car at friends at the moment ! ) has to be tapped as it ocassionally doesn't come on. I have replaced them with standard 21v indicator bulbs and they are held much firmly and are obviously brighter. I'm crap at electrics but was wondering if this is OK ? Did a search but couldn't find an answer :-(

You mean 10 watt side lamp bulbs have been changed to 21 watt indicator bulbs. Too bright for side lamps. All you need to do is clean up and slightly tighten up the holder to hold the bulb more firmly, easy job. As Mad says side lamps are usually 5 watt.

I changed my sidelights for LED's, which are nice and bright, although I did have a couple of issues with the stop/tails which I haven't resolved yet'
However, they will get sorted out once I'm able to use my left hand again ... in maybe six months!
