I'll apologise for the long thread now....
I've got a Disco 3 at the moment which I've used for work and family.
I'm going to be getting a new car likely a BMW 5 series. But I can't do without a Land Rover (heart and mind).
I do a lot of mountain biking on my own and with the kids to I need a car that can take 5 mountain bikes on the back.
We go camping and take holidays in this country so we take a lot of stuff with us, I currently fill the boot to bursting and I have a roof box on the D3. So I need a lot of space for stuff.
I might be buying a sailing dinghy next year so I will need to tow that as well as carry bikes.... eek!
Not all of that I can achieve with a BMW, much smaller boot, lower nose weight. Plus its nice and pretty and might not like the roads I drive down when biking / camping.
So I was thinking of using a Land Rover for biking, holidays and camping.
So should I keep the Disco (Value £15k) or get a cheaper (£9k) 110 County?
What are the running costs of a 110 like - not fuel wise they're both rubbish, but all the other stuff, servicing and parts etc...?
Thanks for any enlightenment you can give me.
Simon
