Well a mate who had a p38 from new just drove it his words " Goes well for a coal burner" on the motorway " This aint right, think your shocks are f ( not good ) ed
 
So it sounds as though shocks it is. When you fit your new ones the difference will be amazing then, if you have problems on the motorway curves at 70 ! Mine is OK to fling around corners on country lanes so you have a treat in store. And to top it off a furry dice - it's got to be a real road burner :)
 
Hello Lads, Ive ordered standard Rover replacements as im not going to thrash it about just want it to go where i point and hold its line on motorways... I do a lot of pest control around the midlands so need to get from farm to farm quickly so motorway work is high on my list, but dont want it too hi tech as it will be knee deep in mud and cow **** quite often.
Now ive found and replaced the hose to the MAF ? thing its transformed it from a lemon to an in ya face 4x4,,, so very pleased with it now, and cant thank all you lads enough for your opions and advise..... now something i maybe able to help others with is the bias ajusters on the remote,,,, when they give up you dont need to replace,, just reface them passed the broken/opend crimp load the ball and spring then stab crimp, did it to mine and the gearbox is now like silk,,,,, my mate and i are working a replacement design that dont use a ball,,, will be a ball end tube running in a bored out ajuster then the crimp isnt needed as the tube and spring cant come adrift,, as for the bearing pads theses can be made from the soft end of a 10mm drill then oil hardened with a blowlamp
