i had a disco from japan as previously said unless its been back here awhile it should not have any rust and usually low mileage and should have water cooled egr which i blanked off check door shuts as it may have been sitting around in the docks for upto a year so if moisture left in door shuts it may cause some rotting and make sure it comes with the import papers as when somone writ mine off the insurance asked for them and yes i would go for another import if i needed another disco

One thing to bear in mind, is that the last 300's came through the factory in 1998, so were re imported to the UK around 2008 (after 10 years in Japan) so they will have been back on the UK roads for around 2 or 3 years now, so much will depend on how well they have been treated since being repatriated.

Having said that I have a 96 300 Jap Reimport and it is most definately in much better condition than UK only based ones.

They are generally low mileage, mine has 59K on the clock and according to the documentation that came with it, it had 29000 kilometers on the clock when it returned to the UK and had the clock returned to miles.

Shop around, don't pay silly money as some people are definately asking that!! I paid £2k for mine just over a year ago, so somewhere around that I reckon is a fair price up to £2500 for a 98 model.
