Finally I found a good P38 with some history, I actually saw two very good vehicles last night, the only deciding factor was he mileage. So I'll no doubt be bugging you lot soon with lots of questions.

In that spirit, are Magnecor leads worth the premium (the car's got LPG) or will these 8mm ones be OK?

welcome aboard the R/R ownership, now empty ya pockets! LOL.

i have Magnecors and would highly recomend them, they fitted nice, not too short like some makes, i also have lpg.

its obviously your choice mate but the magnacor leads i bought were nowt but trouble !!!! ( see my thread ) trouble was i discounted the leads like a fool because they were so new !!!!!!!.
