Hi All

My L series has been sat outside my house since the snow came... exactly the same as last year. Last year it sorted itself ok as soon as the weather warmed up and has run great for the whole year.

Got it started tonight with a new battery. When I last drove it it was a bugger to start, drove for a few 100 yards then the revs dropped until it stopped, or ran at a few hundred revs whatever my foot did to the accelerator, then would pick up quick quickly for a few 100 yards and so on. No matter how warm it got it still took a really really long belt with the starter motor to restart it each time. Took it up the road tonight after letting it warm for a while and it is still dropping power.

Anyone any idea of what is going on? This is becoming an annual event and the missus wants to know why I have to use her mini when it snows when I have a 4X4 parked outside... I'm running out of excuses!

Thanks

maybe its the fuel turning to jelly and restricting the flow?
I had a VW Golf that did the same sort of thing (nicked some additive from work &jobs a good un)

Thats what I thought, but how long does it take for the bloody stuff to turn back to liquid? Its not been so cold this week.

I take it I can buy the additive. Seems worth a try and cant make things worse.
