first is it saying "keycode lockout" in message centre?, if so leave it locked for 20-30 mins till it (message) goes out then try. i have never seen a message saying code accepted, it just springs into life, so dont worry about that.
when you enter the code into drivers door lock you have to turn the key to the back (left) 4 times before you enter the code!
you message didnt mention this so i would guess your not doing it?
this may be where your going wrong asuming theres no problem with entry system!
good luck..........

Hi Coz, This seems like the problem I and lots of others have had. It sounds like the RF receiver which is located in the o/s rear wing just below the window glass, it maybe getting interference from other radio signals. It needs changing (very easy) to the updated part no: YWY500170 and if you scroll through the many pages on here you will find more than one reference to this problem. In the meantime try touching the rear glass with the remote and pressing the unlock button, this has worked for me in the past.
Good luck.

ive tried pressing the remote when next to os rear window - nothing

remote lights up when pressed

ive also tried doing 4 key turns before entereing code - as its a 2000 car

will try it all again in the morn

The car has to be moved away from the interference, try getting a couple of mates to help push it, I moved mine just 10 yards once when this happened and I locked and unlocked the car with the remote ok. If that doesn't work try this:
This was performed by the RAC guy on my last call out for this problem.
Unlock the car with the key, insert key and turn fully all lights are now on, forget about the engine disabled warning. Now VERY VERY IMPORTANT make sure the car is in PARK and the handbrake ON, connect a wire, any type of wire, from the terminal on the starter motor to the live on the car battery and she will start. I now have a wire with a fuse and switch in place all the time just in case. PLEASE PLEASE don't forget to put it in park as this will overide everthing and she will go !!!!.

Best of luck

when this recently happened to me due to buggerd battery i had to re-sync the remote to vehicle, turn in the lock then press coresponding button, then do it again the other way!

so EKA wont work, re sycnhing the key wont work

local indy has come out and hooked it up - says becm is fooked, diagnostics wont even pick up half the info from the becm and is slow process the new codes that we inputed to it - its made no diff

i think that the flat battery problems i had when i got it, and a couple of jump starts that upset it

so apparentley it will have a few more tests do determine thats it - then its open wallet surgery
