Hi all so I tried to unlock my car today wouldn’t unlock with key fob then put key in turn it it unlocks for one second then locks again so I’ve unlocked it quickly opened door. Tried to start the car however no lights nothing come on when I put key in the ignition turn it just beeps no dash message or lights. Really confused. I’m located in Birmingham if any experts are near by.

First thing is to make sure the battery is 100% ok as a p38 will do all sorts of weird things with a duff battery.

Battery needs to be tip-top (as above).
If it won't work on a new/decent battery then diagnostics are the best next step.
Also, check for water ingress in the front footwells from either defective pollen filter seals or weeping heater core "O-Rings" (drivers side). Have a look on LZIR map to see if there is anyone close to you with diags who would be willing to read any codes for the cost of Tea & Cake and possibly their fuel costs.

Put the battery on a charger for 24 hours, then check the voltage half an hour after disconnecting the charger.

Did you try the key resync procedure? If you use the sill locking button does it feel free to move? Also is the ignition barrel free to pop in and out? Usually clean the ignition barrel with electrical contact cleaner and graphite powder.
To sync the key, make sure the RF receiver is plugged in or you'll have to remove the key and hold it next to the rear quarterlight aerial each time. Press to unlock, turn to unlock. Press to lock, turn to lock. Repeat until it does it on the button. Only works if the microswitches in the door are working.
