OK blender motors packed up yesterday, now this morning I have a complete EAS failure, it's at the highest setting, telling me not to go over 35mph. I have found a relay under the passenger seat that has had the purple and white wires spliced together before the plug that goes into the relay (delay relay, I think.)
I have changed the front suspension bags on friday, but it was fine all day Saturday. This morning it wouldn't get the normal ride height and then showed the failure. I have checked all the fuses and relays shich are fine.
Any ideas?

sounds like maybe when you jacked it to change the springs the ride height sensors went out of range

Is there any way of fixing this other than test book and is there a way of jacking the car up with out upsetting the sensors?

My understanding of jacking up a RR without causingit to go out of range, is to make sure you have the rear gate open and a door, as the suspension will not adjust when either are open.. Best to open both, in case the door gets closed ;)

Sure I will be corrected if I am wrong, but that's what I am lead to believe is the correct way to jack up

If it is in fault state the only way to reset it is using Testbook or similar, with the ignition switched off pull out the EAS disable relay at the side of the front passenger seat.(RHD)

Have tried that but the garage said their computer will read everything but the EAS. They didn't take out the relay tho, Ashley 4x4 (meant to be a LR specialist!) It's booked into Landranger tomorrow.

The EAS uses different wires in the data link connector to communicate with Testbook,I have a 4.6 in at the moment that has gone open circuit on the Slate/Red coloured wire between the D/L connector and the disable relay.I had to splice in a temporary wire to get it to work.

This disable relay, is it the tall black one & if faulty what would the symptoms be? After sucessfully repairing the compressor seal over a wek ago great till today when it won't do SFA but blink on the rocker switch at standard level without moving, light at access level constant

Still having this issue, car lifts & drops great 3 or 4 times then as above (though it eventually rises at somestage of driving ) I do a lot of shortish stop/start trips in the day & maybe i'm asking too much for it to operate perfectly all the time??

That's what mine did before it gave up, the bill is currently at £450 and the new compressor won't cut off when it should.....Yippee:-(
Are you GGG as in 1GGG and blue red blue

You certainly have a leak somewhere, I think everyone starts with the compressor and hopes for the best but most of our cars are now getting on in mileage terms and the suspension systems are in dire need of a makeover, I'm starting mine this weekend (see seperate thread)

That's not what I was hoping for but somehow I felt it coming...........

Not sure of the connotation but no & no I think.

Mmmmmm I just had a look & I certainly don't want to have to start doing that but going to have to start somewhere!
