Well, after nearly 4 years sitting in the drive the Freelander is back on the road - in no small part due to the Info on this site (swapping pins In the clock-spring for a start). Still a few jobs that need doing, but they're of the optional variety.

Upping the tyre size to 225/75 has improved the ride immensely. The conversation with fitter went along the lines of -

They're too big, they'll rub
No - they'll fit
I've been doing this 23 years - they won't fit
They'll fit
I can try one - it's up to you
Yes - they'll fit
Feck me - they fit

The local one to me is Horndean tyre, they will do what ever they can for you legally, great lads, they do all our plant and van tyres too :)

Good to see another hippo being saved.
