Italian Police 90

I post in the faint hope that among this illustrious body, someone else has one of these rarities.

I am trying to hunt down a back box, ESR2124 for a fast approaching MOT. It is a non standard Land Rover part, naturally. I can’t even find a replacement suggestion.

I have a feeling that we may have to consider butchering a standard part so if anyone else has gone down this route, your advice would be most welcome.

I am also going to have a chat with Dunsfold.

I believe so too but you never know where you will find the answers.

I am even considering tracking down someone who can make a bespoke system here.

Guess HWMO will have to go get the pipe bending tool he was eyeing up the other day, I feel a butchery session coming on

So as much as I don’t mind a bit of butchery there’s often answer out there you just have to look.
Anyway so of I went on the search function and came across a thread from @cowasaki a few years ago about his exhaust so armed with this I went and had another look armed with some more info.
Having measured pipe and had a really good look I think this is gonna be easy.
I e mail a supplier but alas the person on the end is no technical god and not going to bother going out of the comfy office to help, oh well 1 less sale for them I guess.

So bottom line is now I need to replace the center box too as it’s not going to last much longer.
I have a pipe OD +/-54mm on the tailpipe section over the axle
The center box has the same OD pipe on entry to the box and exit.
The flange connections are 2 bolt and they are +/-90mm centers.
The header which I hope not to go near is +/-60mm but the flange matches.
The parts I need are ESR 2123 &2124 (can’t find anywhere)the parts I am looking at are ESR 4527 & 4526.
The reason I say +/- is there is potentially some rust involved here.
So now the help bit please.
Does anybody have these parts to hand to measure for me or willing to get under their 300Tdi to measure a few bits, as my measurements.
I am not bothered about where the hangers are or to much about the length as long as it’s on a def90 it should be good.
I hate welding rusty exhaust pipe but the possibility of small mods on new bits is definitely doable.

I need to get on this as it takes a while getting bits here and I don’t need to scare the nieghbours with a straight though pipe.

I have sort of got that far. But must check my scribbling again re part numbers as I was sure the numbers showed up as 2 bolt flanges.
But as I now need center and tail sections the center flange matters not. The only 1that matters is the front of the center box, and the picture you have found shows a 2 bolt which was why I put up some measurements, in the hope somebody had 1they were about to fit and could take a quick measurement.
So I could sort of confirm I stood a chance of getting a sort of fit I could then work with.
