30 miles into my regular weekly commute, (120 miles), loud horrible noises, loss of drive and piggy back home courtesy of Mr Green Flag.
Spent all day stripping out gearbox and lowering, (TD5 110) - not for the faint hearted.
Looks like the gearbox has disintegrated. Will probably go to Ashcrofts for a replacement. In the meantime, what else should I replace? Will do the clutch of course, but is there any other seals, gaskets etc I should order?
PS anybody in the Aberdeen area who fancies whiling away a few hours getting the replacement back in please pm! :):)

Just an update, waiting for new gearbox from Ashcroft to arrive, (dispatched 2 days ago!), have replaced clutch and cleaned everything up. Feeling very pleased with myself, the job I was dreading, removing the spigot bearing, turned out to be very easy! Used the hydraulic method as per video and it came right out second attempt! :):)
