Bought a new head unit for our '00 five door Freelander with ISO connection.
Before I start the job , which entails removing an HK sub and rewiring rear speakers, can I ask does the year 2000 Freelander require an ISO adaptor for the stereo wiring ?
Thanks
Don

I did and nothing came up for pre 2001. I'm now wondering if an adaptor is required only for models with steering wheel operation units.
I'll take the original out and have a look .
Thanks lads.

I did for my 2005 Freelander and thinking back to our old 2001 model (a few years ago now) I seem to remember it had a large square plug that plugged directly into the head unit so would guess it needed one as well.

Some info on adapters here-

No info for pre 2001 :(
I'll get it into my garage re wire the speakers and remove the original to see what connector is at the back at the weekend after I complete the gearbox change on this,
You got one ?.....

I recently changed the head unit in my 2000 X (2001 MY) for a Kenwood unit and it went straight in. No extra wires needed. I couldn't believe it. Nothing's that easy with a Freelander. Obviously wheel controls don't work now but i never remembered to use them anyway
