is this rot fixable easily. only trouble is i have no welding experience i have been given a cheap arc welder but people have told me you cant do boot floors with a arc :-( so if it is fixable how much am i looking at and is there any one local to me in Dover area of kent.

Yes with some time that could be fixed. Looks just like mine did. Take a look at my project to give your self an idea.

You could use ark but it will be a lot harder and the welds will be harder to keep neat. Mig is defo the way to go.

There all fixable just takes time and money, sills are easily replaced with box section boot
floors are tricky to remove the fuel tank is very close at the back. mig is def the way to go

if the floors that bad. The rest of it will be as well. Count on doing at least 10times more welding than is currently visible. A 2" hole almost always needs a 6" patch by the time you've cleaned it back to good metal. If he wants more than £250 for it, walk away..

I saw this Disco for sale on facebook this evening and what he is asking is ok in my opinion if your prepared to do the work yourself, at least he is throwing in a sheet of steel and the box section etc for the sills to help you out but you will still need a new boot floor panel etc.

But as said above expect to find a lot more rot than what you can see and its going to be a lot of hard work and forget the arc welder, I have been there and done that years ago and its bloody hard work chasing holes, so if you go for it buy yourself a decent little mig and you will be far better off.
