Is this lock and barrel combination correct + what year is this from?

Got some new doors with lift up handles but no lock barrels.

Are these the right barrels for this lock? Anyone know what year were these locks used? Just 1984 - 87?

As you have discovered - information on these old locks is as scarce as the parts. My parts book lists both types, but only one lock barrel, which suggests the locks I suggested in your other thread will fit. Can't be sure until they arrive of course.

Tell me about it - this is turning into a bloody nightmare.

I ordered those ones and they don't fit. From looking at how the mechanism works it seems I need one that has a thread in the end to screw in a tiny bolt to hold it all together.

New locks are outrageously expensive. Starting to wonder if I can make some series three handles fit

From memory, that does sound like the series barrel. If you had a friendly parts place nearby, they might let you have a look at a series barrel?

Thanks mate. If I can't find any I'll get my GF to take the lock to India when she next goes - someone out there'll bash out a replacement
