Going for another 10 years or so.

Such things as AMC head and Galvanised chassis.

Is it worth doing or should we look at D3 and D4 in say 5 years?

How much you planning on spending to have it all done and dusted? including all the extras you are going to change as you go.

D2 galv chassis seem to be really expensive in comparison to a Fender one.

Personally, I think it is a case of keep my D2 on the road as best can , until it is catastrophic then look at options. Which will probably involve binning it and getting a replacement, I cannot see a D2 ever being worth the investment compared to my 90.

Cheers

Buy a d3 , yep don't even hesitate get a d3

oh did i say , buy a d3 , lol

how much does a d2 chassis come out these days

I think it all depends on how good/mileage is.If it's hammered and on 300k miles then is it going to last as long as you intend?

With D2 values so low now, it would not seem logical to spend out for a galv chassis.
I dont see values of D2s going up "classic motor" style, there are too many about.
But, if you plan to keep a D2, then making it as reliable as possible is worthwhile, so an AMC head and proper TLC is sensible.
Anyway just my views.
