Hi to you all

This is the update to my problems so far:confused: I have taken my p38 to a LR specialists today, Lewis Land Rovers Ltd of Neath in South Wales and spent 3hrs and £57.00 to find out that the becm is not communicating with the ABS ecu or the air suspension ecu and it will not communicate with the diagnostics computer. I do not know were to go with this now and i am at a total loss with it. I have taken the car off the road as it is not safe to drive the way it is. I need all the help i can get with this please see the, "is it the becm" post for the full story

all the best

Just a thought,if there is a problem in talking to various ecu's,a while ago I had a similar issue with a 4.6.Turned out there is a splice - about 5 way in the pink/red diagnostic wire that comes away from the eobd socket. The splice is buried in the loom below where the heater core matrix o rings leaked onto it.The wire had a resistance of about 70 ohms instead of zero. When I cut the loom open the conductors had all gone green and fell apart.Took a bit of sorting but it was all ok in the end.Have also seen the same thing where water leaks into the car through the pollen filter caps.It runs down under the carpets into the groove under the plastic sill in the door shuts.Once Testbook has failed to get anywhere you are back to basic continuity and short to earth tests with a multimeter aided with the wiring diagrams.
