i kindly need your assistance on this situation i have. i have a
landrover freelander 1.8L ES. last year it developed a problem of overheating and the
head gasket blew up. we had to buy a new cylinder head since it had warped though it
was really expensive this side. we later boughty a new freelander engine from UK. when
it came we then realized it was different from the one fitted on the vehicle. the engine
fitted on the vehicle uses coil packs but the new engine uses a distributor though both
exhaust and inlet manifolds fit very well, the gearbox and engine mountings are the same.
my question now is, will the distributor engine work to replace the coil pack K-series
engine? or i have to look for a new head to fix the problem on the coil pack engine?
