Hi guys,
A little advice needed. I have a 28,000 mile 2004 Freelander TD4 and recently I feel it has lost some of the power it had when I bought it this time last year.
There does seem to be some lag before the turbo kicks in resulting in one or two heart stopping moments at junctions. When the turbo has spun up it seems OK but at motorway speeds the car doesnt seem quite as powerful as it used to be.
Do you guys think its the MAF giving up or could it be something as simple as an air filter replacement required (I think its due a new filter).
Its sort of difficult for me to tell if there is a problem because I drive a 1.8 Astra in the week and that is quite nippy so maybe its just me thinking the Freelander is sluggish.
If its the MAF then I think it may be a call to RoverRon for a new Synergy box.
So what do you all think?
Thanks in advance.
Andy
