Is it a 2.25?

i have been told it could be a ldv it is a diesel by the way.

certainly looks like a l/r 2.25 doozel

it sounds very different to my mates 2.25 diesel in his series 2a 88"

i can't hear it
i'm going by memory, had a series 111 ten years ago, from what i remember it looked like that

looks like one, do you fill the oil from a large pipe that comes up from the left bottom of the engine? not sure if the diesel is the same as the petrol which i have, but the dip stick also comes from a thinner pipe coming all the way up from the right of the engine (orientation as in the picture ) should also have a little plaque on the tappet cover with hot or cold valve clearance. tthe thermostat should be in the front middle of the engine , with a pipe exiting straight up and one to the left
edit: also tappet cover has three dome nuts often with a rubber washer type thing under them running down the centre to hold it in place

Rocker box looks a bit odd, but that's probabaly the light.
Otherwise looks like a 2 1/4 to me. Where is the injector pump?

left hand side it is a cav rotary type pump
