Is handbrake cable easy to do?

Looking at buying a Disco 2 and it is advertised without a working handbrake (says he parks it in gear).

Going to expect the worse and presume the cable is none existent.

Is it an easy job? I am an enthusiastic novice when it comes to cars.

it's not that bad, if you want to do yourself some jobs you better download a RAVE cos you have all the procedures there...as in the attachment

putting some lube on rubber where it comes through tunnel will help greatly in removing and refitting
