hi all

i have a bad clunk on the front right/middle of front of the car :-(which has seemed to get worse over last few weeks

im a bit puzzled what it could be ,i have over last few months changed the following on the front

wishbone ball joints
track rod ends
drop links
all bushes on suspenion
anti roll bar bushes

but now have a clunk noise ,when i dropped the front subframe the mout attached to it was sloppy as hell (think it fitted to ird / gearbox )

could this be the problem? ive popped the bonnet and tried to rock the engine but seems no play there :confused::confused:

any ideas????

cheers

Our Td4 auto had a clunk from the front when you'd pull away from a standing start like taking up drive. I changed the lower gearbox/engine stabiliser mount as the largest bush of the two in the old mount was goosed. It's now pretty smooth when pulling away and through the gears and no clunking what's so ever.

cool i assume when you say lower tie bar you mean the one that is on the front sub frame ,at the back under the ird ,has a small bush on subframe then linked to ird with a bracket and a large bush at ird side ?

where can i get new bushes for it? it there any upgraded ones or off ofter cars that will fit and may last longer?
cheers
