IO Play for iphone

I don't s'pose anyone has installed an io play into a rangie p38 with the Harman Kardon system in it? i've just fookin got one and now i'm being told it's not compatable!!
Don't wanna blow up the amp seeing as i've just forked out for a new one!!

It plugs in line with yer stereo so ya can stream music from yer iphone, it also acts as a hands free kit that mutes yer music and the speech comes out of the car speakers. i've seen it work in another car and it's very good but i've now been told that it's not compatable with the Harman Kardon system because everything goes through the DSP amp first!! i'll just have to wait and see, i'll let ya know what happens.

Will it work through an FM modulator?

If so they're easy to fit and the simplest solution for playing an I-pod/I-phone direct through HK, no need to bother with streaming.

Come to think of it, that'll work for my N95 too!, it'll put the call through the speakers, just short a mic, but then your IO device might not have a great mic either if the sat navs are anything to go by.

F**k it, i completly forgot about using the FM Modulator as a hands free!

It will work perfectly. I fitted it a few weeks ago to play mp3 tunes but now that I think about it all I need is a threeway headphone socket same as comes with the phone and I can fit a decent quality mic then hey-presto top quality hands free kit.

I wonder if the feedback would be bad with a simple set up like that?

i connected the IOPlay inline with the supplied cable and it works brilliant!! it comes with a mic that i ran up the trim on the door pillar and put the controls on top of the centre console! it automatically connects to yer i phone as soon as you turn it on and mutes the music so you can talk then bring is back when you hang up, the mic is clear as a bell and all in all it's a great bit of kit!!
