Water running from the roof liner over the back door like a tap is on

I guess its going back tomorrow. Not warranty covered, but not fit for purpose, sale of goods regulations. Im pretty sure the dealer is going to be reasonable...................

Solved the mistery of the constant condensation though, water evaporating from my lockable boot storage fishtank :doh:

check your rear door seal, (where the end joins are, at the bottom)
i found water finding its way into the boot locker through the join

Its above the door, behind the plastic water gutter. Car hasnt moved in a week but its rained and rained

ok, i had that problem aswell, i found water comming in at the top, ,

remove the black plastic trim too reveal a steel galvanise mounting bracket which was rusted and starting to corrode, water was entering through the screw fixing holes,

solution,,, throw the steel bracket away , seal the holes and secure the plastic trim using silicone sealant ,

Does the plastic just unclip from something? I dont want anything to snap if I can help it

you have to prise off the plastic trim very gently, i cant remember if there are any screws to remove,

Yep! quite a common problem. The water drips in through the screw holes which hold the plated metal trim. The design of the trim tends to pools water round the screws which leak. I sealed mine with clear silicone and cured the problem. The black plastic rear window trim is more of a problem. To get it off you will probably break the clips. Replacements side trim clips part no. DCE 100560, Top trim clips DYC 101470 available from all good LR dealers. To fit them back on you will have to pull the rear door seal off to gain access to the side trim clips because these have to be screwed on to the studs after fitting to the trim. If there is another way to do it I would like to hear about it!

Thanks both, sounds like a pig of a job. The dealer I got it from said he'll do it sometime next week. Least I can go armed with knowledge now rather than just a statement that it 'leak'
