Want to change the intercooler hoses but my 2000 disco has several versions available when consulting the LR parts book. are they all pretty much the same or are they dependent on the metal pipe size/shape?
If my car still has the original hoses I need to buy an expensive set comprising two hoses and the metal pipe if the parts book is correct.

Thanks in advance.

I have a source, just trying to discover if the various part number super-cessions are significant to the fit or whether they are material upgrades or what.

It is a bit complicated but according to my LR parts guru the latest hoses aren't intended to be used with the old steel pipe so for my chassis number I need to buy a set of 2 hoses and new steel pipe which is £63 +VAT but the 2 hoses on their own work out at £6.53 + VAT. We don't know if the changes are major and one type can't work with the other or if they are minor and it will all work together but LR would rather the complete was used. I might just take a chance and just get the hoses and see what happens.

I got a set of silicones down the net from Derby Performance Hose. Available in several colours for £60. Another £12 gets you some rather nice wide stainless hose clips that are much better than either the standard ones or jubilees.

I found that the one that fits to the turbo needed about 2cm lopping off the turbo end so that the plastic tube down the side of the engine would sit level.
