Compared to the 110 I had the insurance on the Disco 2 is much higher.
Strange really because I always felt the 110 was at risk of theft and I dont have the same worries with the Disco.
The 110 was probably worth more despite being older too . . . .
We are only talking 180 quid to 261 quid and I dare say there are some of you who pay twice that to live in a concrete jungle, neverythe less its still a big difference.

Sounds reasonable to me. I'm paying £300 fully comp, £50 excess and off roading cover included with Adrian flux.

Unusual to have that covered??? most cover green laning as that is not off roading , but to cover off roading , pay and play etc is unusual, I will ask AF next time I renew.

Cheers
I packed in asking flux for any cover and switched to Brentacre, been with them 2 years now and the renewal was £70 less than flux wanted for a new customer, doesn’t sound a lot but when overall cost is £210, it’s a big chunk, and they don’t charge extra for an agreed value.

My td5 auto D2 is quite a bit more to insure than the D1 300tdi, this does have a tuning box on it though so may well just be that.

Try A-Plan - Good in our experience, but we've not had a claim ....... ( usual caveat - just a customer etc... )

Just checked policy to make sure, lol.
Does cover what I need in terms off roading, also as one of my shoots also has a dedicated off road course built for private use by the landowner, driving around the land whilst shooting would be classed as gaining access to and from his course for insurance purposes

Shirley, this would be 3rd party only, otherwise you buy a cheap motor , hoon around, trash your motor and they would pay to fix it? or write it off and you get your money back!! seems very open to abuse. I will have to call AF and see if I have this or not.

Cheers

Dunno, but I thought that all insurance covered 3rd party damage even on private land as a legal requirement.
I live in a group of 3 houses with a private driveway and if I damage another vehicle parked here my insurance has to cover any damage caused even though its on private property and not a public highway.

Well through AFlux but I dont know whether its the same company.
3 grand! that's obscene.
Just part of the fun of being a young lr owner

Could be worth a check just popping your details through compare the market or something to see what prices come up, Aflux might match if you find one cheaper.

Thankfully you live in Wales as I do; if Manchester it would be twice that, lol
