Hi everyone,
I have just registered on this site.
I have owned a Discovery TD5 (W reg) for the last 2 years and am really pleased with the vehicle, having had no problems at all with the vehicle in that period untill now.
On monday I had to brake very hard to avoid hitting an oncoming vehicle, immediately a number of lights lit up on the Instrument Display and have stayed on since, they are ABS, Traction Control & Downhill Descent lights which normally only display when turning on the ignition and then extinguish when the engine fires up. Has anybody experienced this? if so I would be pleased to hear from you and would be interested in a solution to this as my local Land Rover repair man is on holiday.
Regards,
Mike Howard

Could well be that when you braked hard, something gave up on the ABS front. The TC and HDC systems both rely on the ABS working, so if it's gone tits-up, the HDC and TC lights will also come on.

Hope that's a help, but ultimately you'll need to get it to a garage...

Yet more proof that a SIII is the best way forward.

He he he, you're a cheeky one aren't you? ;)
Why not send me a piccy of your lovely Series and I'll put it on Heidi's Web?

Mike Howard: don't know enough about Discos to offer any decent advice, so suggest you post a similar question down in the Discovery section. :)
