Instrument cluster bulbs or leds?

Hi all,
Last night I started up the range rover and straight away noticed that the illumination behind the odometer section of my instrument cluster has gone really dim.
Does anyone know if these are bulbs behind this section of the cluster or LEDs?

It's a 2002 L322

Bulbs as far as I know, LED's are too directional.

They do an led upgrade though which looks cool

Much crisper

Look up BMW pixel fix

They offer the service
Or you can easily do it yourself
