Installing an amp

I would like to install a Amp with a sub, ....these are musical pieces to those smart asses in here.....

When i remove the deck, there is sadly no rca output....

I have heard of using a high low converter from the rear speakers, anyone done this?

Also, ifi was to install new speakers, would i just cut the old speaker wire that go into the harness and connect the new ones? this landrover specific wiring is driving me crazy.

I'd put in the new deck if i woldnt lose the navigation.

Can you give a little bit more info on the model of your car, and the standard stereo. If you have sat nav and harmon kardon as a standard fit there is already an amp (under passenger seat) and a small sub in the boot floor.

02 freelander, with the navigation and harmon kardon. However, there is a 6 disc cd changer under the passender seat.

wouldit be somewhere else?

Try a look under the drivers seat for the amp, ours is an 04 and for some reason the position of cd changer changed with the update. Ours has cd under driver, and amp under the passenger, sub in the boot floor where the locker is normally found. The sub is active (amp built in). Have a good look around !
