Well, just took delivery of a new set of insa turbo traction tracks and they look amazing!

Will post some pics later this afternoon when they have been fitted and balanced and will post back after we've taken it off road to report on how good they are.

Anyone else got them? Ours are on a 1998 disco 1.

I have Insa special track - is that what you mean? Even with all of the sharp corners on the knobbles worn away they are really good :)

Really? That's good to know. No......they are the new Traction Tracks, pics are in the other thread. Lovely so far, can't wait to give them a good test!

I've tested my insa turbo this weekend.. loved it!!

They look amazing.....I think Stretchie just had a little sex wee as that's what he want our disco to look like!

I saw some real aggressive remolds ar "Inside out 4x4" at capel. They are new, i duno what there called. Theyre similar to those on that disco, except the side walls have very nearly the same tread on as the rest of the tyre! Made my BFG MTs look like slicks.

Well, these are the special tracks

Insaturbo 4x4

Pretty aggressive and 95% off road, so I'd imagine going down the motorway would sound like you were in a plane about to take off but I think I know the tyre you're talking about. Going to try and find it now!

My special tracks are not too bad on the road, wobbles a bit and all that, but it's part of the fun, you just take it steady and don't panic trying to over correct the steering…
Noise… very noise, as giggles says, sounds like I'm on a plane…
but.. I don't mind, I only use the Disco on weekends when I go for a play, rest of the time I use the bikes or the car…

Talking about tyres, I've just remembered I need to sell the brand new spare BFG that came with my disco, so I can buy a special track to match the rest of the tyres.. :)

Do we need a new topic area for things for sale/wanted on here.

Anyway, what bikes have you got JP? Stretchie has a Thundercat and Blackbird.....used to have a fireblade till he came off it last year :-(

The wobble/noise from the insa turbos is fab. It's just what you expect, but enjoyable none the less. I've never really had a problem with overcorrecting, but maybe that's because I've been driving Landies of all shapes and sizes for years. I know Stretchie found it odd when we first got the disco. I think his favourite part was parking it up outside the house on a very slight slope, leaving it in gear, pulling up the handbrake and then having a mini panic when he took his foot off the clutch and it swung back a fore a few times!!!

Gotta luv 'um eh!

hahaha.. yeh, there's a sale section already, I just need to check what kind of BFG I have and how much is worth, its brand new.

Thundercat hey?
Used to have one as my first bike, brilliant bikes they are..... nowadays I have a CB500 which I use for commuting and a Fireblade 954 for the sunny days and going over to France (24h Le Mans and Bol D'or mainly).

You 2 have to come with us one weekend then, both my mates have bikes, one has an R1 and the other an SP2.. so we'll always have something to talk about.. :)

Ooooh, you have a fireblade. I may cry when I see it. We had the 2000 (I think) 929 in black and silver, mint condition, low mileage and a beautiful bike....STUNNING......but last May, Stretchie hit a bit of deisel (so the police said) and came off. He'll describe it better as it was a bit more complicated, but the bike was a write off, luckily he wasn't. We saw one in Fowlers on Saturday that we nearly bought last year, identical model and it brought tears to my eyes. I get the same feeling when I see 1986 Station wagon 90's in blue.......I miss that too!
The Thundercat was Dans first bike and I'll be having it when I get my license. For now I sit on the back and love every minute!

Ooooh, about your tyres and back on topic........do you know what the expected mileage is that you'll get from them?
