if diesel injectors are not working would you get blue/white smoke when engine at normal temperature but not when cold? i get lots of smoke when warm, just fitted a recon turbo, reason was it ran on its own engine oil for a short time before being stopped.
I thought the oil was just in the exhaust and cat and needed to burn off within 30 mins or so.
i also changed the oil, there was only half a pint in the oil tray
I replaced the oil with fully synthetic and i can now smell this oil being burnt in the smoke fumes. the engine ticks over fine and revs fine with no sign of a miss fire. the car is a ... Renault megane sienic 1.9 dci 2002. ok its not a range rover but the Renault forum is full of plonkers and the mods have to read every post before placing it on the site and that takes days.
