Hi again chaps.
I have aquired a 300tdi for my series conversion project, however when I went to have a final look today before ordering I noticed that the injector pump has 2 wires going to it, one looks like the usual cut off solenoid and t'other looked like a 2 core from the side of the pump, I was wondering what this connects to.
And also the waste gate control module has a 2 core comming from it, what does this do?.
Edit: Ok so I have looked at a couple of threads and found out that one of the wires to the injector pump is the standard cut off solenoid, and the other is actually a 3 core cable going to a black thingy on the pump, and I believe this is some sort of security device, the wires being ground, +12 and data from the security ecu, how do I override this, could I just drill the security screws out and bin it?.
And the wire on the turbo looks as though its on the inlet manifold side, so its a boost pressure sensor or switch, I guess I could just leave that disconnected.
Ta.
