injector pump - adjuster cover help

After fitting a uprated intercooler I'd like to turn my pump up a bit too, but when trying to remove the round pressed in cover on top it wouldn't budge. Iv put a small hole in it trying to remove it so I left it on before I damaged it any more. After googling for a while I haven't been able to find a replacement one before I remove the damaged one completely - does anyone know where I could find one of these? Its a 200tdi disco engine in a 90.

Any help would be greatly appriciated !!!

Any ideas, part no.s or anyone breaking a knackered pump would be great as I don't want any water getting in!

Hmmm nice idea. Are they like core plugs in the side of the engine? Can u get different sized ones?

They come in lots of different sizes,if you've got a good friendly motor shop take the plug from the pump with you and they might match it up.Good luck.

It's only a cover it wouldn't worry about it

end off a chair leg fits if you get the right size,

Havent had a cover on mine for years. Aint made no difference and just makes it easier next time you want to adjust it (which you will )
