Hi guys,

My father recently passed away and I've inherited his unattended project.
1997 2.5 litre diesel, no ideal of model, no MOT for 11 years due to stuck driver side door, hasn't moved in at least 6 years.

Currently growing it's own ecosystem In the only place fit for the skip for the house clearance.

Not sure if it's 'safe' to post registrations online? Please do inform.

Either way, I have no idea of if I should scrap or sell.
Uncle says it's only worth scrap value, Reddit says maybe 1k.

Thinking I might just list on eBay and see what I get. Any advice? Thanks!

Ebay/gum tree that sort of thing try and recoup something out of it for yourself. You have enough on your plate if it doesnt go then ring around the local scrappies / garages some will take it off your hands for you and throw you £50 or some token but Itl be out of your way atleast and it's up to them to sort the paperwork.

It's a 'P38' rangerover with an M51 BMW turbo Diesel engine, model will be DT/DSE or DHSE - will make no difference to value. You could get £1G if it were a good example low mileage cleaned up with fresh mot but that will be minefield where you will need place to keep it, cash to spend, time.

If you take pics for the sale put a few on here for us

Sorry to hear of your loss. It can be hard letting go of your father's dreams and stuff, I know.

Did one up recently, put a brand new ticket on it and sold it on the Bay. Sold for 700 notes - barely covered the parts bill.

Yours with no ticket and hasn't moved in however many years?

If you are of a sensitive nature disposing of late parent's property is hard, but in the case of something space consuming like a car you may have to be a bit ruthless & I reckon Dad would understand that.
Years ago I had to dump an old wooden extension ladder that my late father would have been using before I was born. I felt a bit sick as I was cutting it up, but the rungs were rotting & the thing was too dangerous to use.
